Bolton Wanderers are reluctant to part with Newcastle United target Mark Davies.

The Bolton News says Davies is contracted to the Reebok until 2015 and has been earmarked by Owen Coyle as a future England international.

The Magpies have scouted him for the last few months, hoping to take advantage of Wanderers' precarious situation, but any form of approach would be strongly rebuffed for the time being.

West Brom were credited with an interest in the Midlander, who arrived in January, 2009, from Wolves, but no firm offer has materialised.
