Bolton boss Gary Megson has turned down an offer from an unnamed Championship club for defender Andy O'Brien. The former Portsmouth centre-half has been linked with a move away from the Reebok with a number of Championship sides thought to be interested, including Middlesbrough.

However, Megson insists the experienced defender is going nowhere.

Megson said: "There's been one or two clubs reported to be interested and I've had a call from one Championship club, but I've told them 'no' and I've told Andy he won't be going out on loan."
