Bolton Wanderers defender Gretar Steinsson admits he's football-mad.
The fullback says he's now fully recharged and eager for preseason training to kickoff.
"You never stop being a footballer," he explained to Bolton's website.
"I enjoyed a break in the first two weeks but after that I was reading the papers and watching the television to see which players are moving about. You do have your rest but you soon want to get back out there.
"Maybe in December when the games are coming thick and fast you think that you should have taken more time to rest but when you are really passionate about something, like I am with football, you want to be back out doing it as soon as possible.
"Some players take it easy over the holidays and then they need to put in a lot of hard work to get back fit.
"I'd rather have the philosophy where you stick with the normal routine so that you don't have to change that much because I pride myself in my fitness."
