Bolton Wanderers defender Sebastien Puygrenier is chasing a France call-up.

On-loan from Zenit St Petersburg, Puygrenier said: "It would be a dream to play for France.

"There are a lot of players in front of me, but there is no reason why one day I can't get my chance.

"Hopefully, I will get more exposure over here than I would in Russia - but I'm going to concentrate on my own performances, first and foremost.

"I understand the way the team want to play football from the way the manager has outlined his ideas. It's taken me a few games to improve my strength and fitness, but now I feel I'm up to a standard where I can match the rest of the defence."
