For their draw with Wolves, Jaaskelainen was frequently at loggerheads with Bolton's two central defenders, but Knight argued that more of the same can only enhance his side's survival prospects.
"I said in the dressing room that I don't mind arguments as long as we get it right," he said. "I don't like arguing when they've scored a goal, but that's just our desire for the game and wanting to come out on top.
"We don't want to be in this position, down at the bottom. But we are in it and everyone wants to fight to get us out of it. We've got some massive games ahead of us, and I believe we could do with showing more of that passion that came through against Wolves.
"I don't know how it looks from the sidelines, but it has been frustrating. I'm not saying the passion is not there but I think sometimes we need to show it a bit more. Sometimes it just seems a little bit easy for other teams."
