Bolton Wanderers defender Zat Knight admits some envy seeing Aston Villa enjoying success this season.

The 29-year-old only left Villa Park in the summer to join Wanderers, and he is keen to get his own shot at silverware after an inconsistent campaign.

"It has been a frustrating season," he told the Bolton News. "I have just seen Aston Villa get to a final having not been to one for ages - and then the year I leave, they get to Wembley.

"Hopefully I can make up for that by getting there with Bolton.

"I only left about six or seven months ago but I wish them all the best. I have got a lot of friends down there and I'm a Villa fan at heart."
