Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill was happy to pen his new contract this summer, despite the interest of Arsenal and Liverpool.

"It didn't really distract me to be completely honest," he said. "It's always there but it has been nice to put that to bed now.

"I can focus on my football and do what I enjoy doing."
