Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill admits he does have hopes of making the England World Cup squad.
Cahill, 24, is now hoping to use Bolton's last four games to book himself a place in Fabio Capello's World Cup squad.
The England boss checked him out in Bolton's 1-0 defeat at Chelsea on Tuesday.
And Cahill, who is yet to represent his country at senior level, said: "I was aware that Fabio Capello was watching at Chelsea on Tuesday night.
"I don't think I did myself too much harm in that game."
