Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill is being linked with Manchester City.

The Daily Express says City boss Mark Hughes is desperate for a new centre-half after losing Joleon Lescott for two months following an operation to remove a piece of floating bone in his knee.

Cahill and also Fulham's Brede Hangeland are on his shortlist.
