Bolton defender Cahill hails matchwinner Jaaskelainen

Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill admits they owed their three points at Hull City to goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen.

"Jussi was outstanding," said the former Aston Villa defender. "I don't think he really had anything to do and then all of a sudden he's made three match winning saves.

"I said to him, 'I don't know how you've kept the Marlon King shot out' because he's not only made the save, but he's got up and reacted well and pushed the ball wide.

"It was unbelievable, but he's capable of things like that. We see it in training and there is no doubt that he has kept us in the game.

"But over the last two games, we've really dug in and done well. We were under a lot of pressure late on in that game, but we stood up strong and together we've kept another clean sheet.

"Maybe we've had that little bit of luck. Obviously with the saves, maybe one of them could have gone in and we might have only come away with a point."
