Bolton chasing Swansea dynamo Pratley

Swansea City midfield powerhouse Darren Pratley is a target for Bolton Wanderers.

The Mirror says Owen Coyle is keen to land the high-energy star whose contracting is running out with the Swans – and is poised to make an offer of around £2million for him in the New Year.

Pratley is desperate to get back to the top level after spending his early career at Derby County and Wanderers are ready to give him that chance, although it will take a lot of negotiating to sort out a fee.

Coyle wants cash to strengthen his squad after their outstanding start and thinks Pratley would be a huge addition to his central midfield which already boasts Stuart Holden, Fabrice Muamba and Mark Davies.

Last season, Darren was our best player - a 100% box to box footballer. However, his recent performances appear to suggest that his heart is no longer in the club. Whilst I don't blame any player for bettering themselves, perhaps Darren should speak to Lee Trundle, Andy Robinson and Jason Scotland who found that the money was good but the grass was not greener on the other side and their careers suffered accordingly. Players are led by agents these days whose sole purpose is making a financial killing. I would be sorry to see Darren go but maybe its time to cash in and for Mr. Rodgers to make another astute buy.
