Bolton boss Owen Coyle says he will be looking to bring some players in on loan this winter.
The Trotters are in need of some January reinforcements but do not have the funds to purchase players outright so will look to add help from other clubs as Gael Kakuta heads back to Chelsea after a six-month loan.
"We are getting one or two players back, but there is no doubt that we need new faces to help the squad we have got.
"We are not blessed like a lot of teams where we can go and spend £20million or £30million on a player, but we have dealt with different scenarios and that is what we will continue to do.
"We are trying our utmost to bring one or two players in, and that will continue to be the case.
"We have one domestic loan option available - we have chased one or two and will see if anything comes to fruition.""Gael returned on January 1st, as per the agreement that we had with Chelsea," he told the club's official website.
