Bolton chairman Gartside expects big squad changes

Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside is predicting major changes to the squad this summer.

Gartside is expecting big changes to manager Owen Coyle's squad.

"What happens is going to be dictated by who comes and who goes," explained Gartside.

"You've got the natural decisions where five players were out of contract, loan players who'll return to their clubs and then the speculation about whether someone is going to leave, or who to buy.

"It's probably going to be the biggest change here for quite some time.

"Owen inherited a settled squad with very few out of contract. There was little room for change.

"This year that is going to be totally different because there may be a lot of room if players leave.

"At this stage there are a lot of unknowns, ifs, buts and maybes. But I think there will be big changes."
