Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside admits he has concerns over the future of the Premier League.
"We must recognise, the financial gap not only caused by billionaire backers but disproportionately increasing sponsorship and prize money is affecting the balance of the competition - not only in The Premier League but also in The Championship," he said.
"If we are to have a healthier football family we need to address the situation sooner rather than later.
"We are finding it increasingly difficult to compete in the transfer market, wage inflation is still being fuelled by teams with larger financial backers and if we don't compete, we are accused of a lack of ambition."
