Bolton chairman Gartside apologises to Tottenham's Levy over Redknapp comments

Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside has apologised to Tottenham counterpart Daniel Levy for talking up Harry Redknapp's England chances.

Gartside rang pal Levy to say sorry after the BBC quoted him praising Redknapp - and claimed it was an FA endorsement for the post, says the Mirror.

He said: "I've been quoted out of context and had an apology from the BBC and have apologised to Daniel. I was giving my personal view of how I rate Harry."
