Bolton captain Davies: I was never getting anything from Clattenburg

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies is convinced he'll never get anything from ref Mark Clattenburg.

The two-handed shove Clattenburg claimed the Bolton striker planted on Fulham centre back Brede Hangeland, prior to thundering a trademark header into the roof of the net, was undetectable.

Davies said: "I think he (Hangeland) got under the ball and I just outjumped him. He hit the floor and he knew it was a fair goal.

"When I saw who the referee was I didn’t expect to get anything off him. I have always felt there is something personal there."
