Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies has no doubts teammate Gary Cahill is England class.
Davies admits Cahill has found it frustrating waiting for his opportunity but he has been quick to put an arm around his pal's shoulders.
After victory over Stoke City, Davies said: "Gary was great again. I can only think it's a matter of time before he's an England regular.
"I know he's very frustrated with the situation but when the squads are announced I've just been telling him not to get too frustrated. He's still young, he's got time on his side and it will happen for him."
Wanderers keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has seen a few centre-backs during his 13 years in England - and rates Cahill as good as anything around.
The Finn said: "It definitely won't be long before Gary is England's first choice centre-half. He's going from strength to strength.
"From last season he's improved again, he's much more comfortable on the ball. He's ready for England now."
