Bolton captain Davies confident of Euro push under Coyle

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies is convinced they can finish in the European places this season.

The Lancashire club have not qualified to play on the continent since Sam Allardyce left in 2007.

Since his appointment at the start of this year, Owen Coyle has rebuilt the lost confidence among the players.

The 33-year-old striker said: "We will want to get into the top 10 this season.

"With the top six or eight teams spending loads, it will be difficult, but Fulham proved they could do it last season so we must look at them as role models.

"We've got everything in place here now to do that."
