Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson would welcome another chance to take the club into Europe next season.

He said: "It's quite ironic, I got stick for what I did but we still managed to reach the quarter-finals.

"It's a difficult conundrum. If you have a decent season you can qualify, but then you don't have the wherewithal on so many fronts. Even Tottenham are struggling with that despite having all of those players.

"You need nearly two squads so you don't have a shortfall in the league."
