Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is only interested in "quality" signings for the January market.

He said: "There's a lot of transfer speculation in the game, but then there's a lot of media coverage, and that's what makes football the game it is.

"Sometimes you have a laugh and joke about it because of the players you're linked with.

"If we had signed every player we'd been linked with, we'd have a staff of 250!

"As for our transfer budget, there's been no amount of money put on it and we're not 100 per cent sure what we're going to need.

"But that anybody we do bring in will have to be quality to go with the ones we've already got."
