Bolton boss Megson: We'll take Chelsea seriously

Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson says they'll push Chelsea all the way on Sunday.

Megs said: "In terms of preparation we are fully aware of the team we are playing and the position they are in. And we are fully aware of the position we are in and that results elsewhere will still play a part.

"But even if we didn't need any points, I would expect us to play properly, to put a foot in and to compete. We are certainly not going to short-change the people who are going down there."

Megson is a pal of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson but is not expecting a call.

He added: "Sir Alex and I know each other. But I haven't called anyone looking for favours to be done for us. I don't think you have to. The integrity and honesty of this football club is there for everyone to see.

"We turn up, compete and have a right good go. At times we've had some awful results and that happens to most clubs. But they have never been on the back of not giving it out best."
