Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson has revealed he's seeking one more major signing.

Club-record signing Johan Elmander and midfielder Fabrice Muamba joined their new team-mates in the first session at the new Academy pitches off Lostock Lane on Wednesday.

And Megson, who captured the £16million pair in the last two months, revealed he is close to adding a third signing to his summer's work.

"I gave the board the names of three players I really wanted to bring in and not move on until we'd exhausted every possibility," he said. "That's two of the three, and we're still trying to do the third one and we'll go from there."

Reading midfielder James Harper could well be the last piece of Megson's puzzle, with a mooted £3.5m bid in the offing.
