Bolton boss Megson reveals deal for Wolves midfielder Davies

Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is wrapping up the £1 million signing of Wolves midfielder Mark Davies.

Megson had a £650,000 offer rejected but upped his bid to meet Wolves’ asking price for the midfielder.

Meg said: “Mark is a player we have been aware of for a couple of seasons and he’s got massive potential.

“My assistant, Chris Evans, has known him since he was eight and we believe he can make the step up.”

Davies, 20, has spent the past two months on loan at Leicester.

To all you Bolton fans!
Im a Wolves fan and Mark Davies is a very promising player. He was regarded as one of the best youngsters in football when he was 16 but after a injury plagured 3 years, he hasnt played alot of football and kind of has something to prove. Us wolves fans think hes a great little player, but due to injurys hasnt had many games for us. He's been on loan at leicester where hes earned rave reviews and we wolud love him to have stayed with us after finally getting over injury.
Youve got yourself a very good footballer with good potential

Another Tamir Cohen I suspect. No use to us this season and possibly not the next until he gets up to speed. Have doubts he is a creative player but then Megson, Evans etc don't appear to concede that they need this in a premiership team and I suspect don't know the standard of player needed in midfield, as they only seem to get the defensive stuff right.

What's the big deal that he can make the step up then, that's the minimum standard.
