Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson has played down their interest in Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

The club monitored the 26-year-old earlier in the season but have cooled their interest since he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in November playing against Birmingham City.

"We had an interest in him but he was unfortunate enough to pick up a really bad injury," he explained. "I think people have put two and two together from there with the recent stuff."
