Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson admits Tamir Cohen won't be their one and only signing this month.
"One has told us the player is available but the price needs to be matched. Two others have said the players aren't available but that's just normal negotiations.
"However, I'd be very surprised that, if out of the bottom 10 clubs, we're not going for the same player anyway.
"But as I mentioned to the chairman I also wouldn't be surprised if we sign someone we haven't spoken about before.
"As for players leaving I haven't spoken to a single club, apart from Sheffield United about Gary Speed, over any other player. And we don't have to sell anyone to bring in players on fees."
