Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson says Sunderland counterpart Roy Keane will prove a managerial success.

"Great players don't always make great managers," says Megson who enjoyed plenty of midfield tussles with the fiery Irishman.

"I liken it to an engineer who services planes. It doesn't mean he can then fly the plane.

"However, I think Roy has done a great job at Sunderland. I know he has had a lot of money to spend.

"However, that only adds to the pressure he's under.

"If you look where Sunderland were before he took over and where they are now, I'm sure most supporters would settle for that."
