Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is unhappy with skipper Kevin Nolan with suspension ruling him out of this weekend's match against Hull City.
He said: "It is not ideal to be playing without your captain after just 11 games.
"It is Kevin's fault we have found ourselves on the back end of a suspension. That is something we have to try and avoid throughout the season, because the squad is not strong enough to be able to cope with that situation.
"We hope this will be the first and last suspension for people reaching five bookings."
