Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson wants West Brom pair Paul Robinson and Zoltan Gera in the January market.
He also wants to snatch midfielder Zoltan Gera from The Hawthorns in the New Year.
Robinson nearly left Albion in the summer but Sunderland and Wigan both failed to agree a deal with the Championship club. The ex-Watford player, signed by Megson, will be offered an escape route back to the Premier League by his old boss in January.
Hungarian playmaker Gera is another target and will cost about £500,000 because he is out of contract in the summer.
