Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson accepts there'll be plenty of interest for Gary Cahill in the January transfer market.
Manchester United, Wanderers' opponents on Saturday, are one of those linked with Cahill and although they might have no problem backing up any interest with the necessary cash, Megson does not think the same can be said of many other teams.
"I think there will be a lot of interest (in Cahill), not just in January, but throughout," Megson said.
"We know people come and watch his games at the Reebok all the time. One of the big clubs has been to every game probably for the last 18 months - whether they are watching Gary or not I don't know.
"There will be interest, there's bound to be, he's a good player. But in terms of whether there will be a great deal of activity, very few people will be able to afford Gary Cahill, both in terms of the wages he is paid and the fee that would be expected."
