Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson hailed his summer signing Johan Elmander after his scoring debut in their victory over Stoke City.

"He is a good player and there is going to be an obvious link with Nicolas Anelka," said Megson.

"But he is not like him at all. You would not see Nic working across the line, closing down defenders and making block tackles."
