Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is keen for Ricardo Gardner to wind back his commitments with Jamaica.
"Whether it suits Bibi to be traipsing across to play for Jamaica all the time at the age that he is now, I'll try and have a word with him about that," said the Whites boss. "But it will be a bit difficult because he's a very proud Jamaican.
"Bibi did his hamstring at Portsmouth at the end of last season but he was okay, he was trotting about with Jamaica during the summer.
"He was down to play in the first game of the season against Sunderland but then injured his other hamstring the Thursday before. I think it was just one of those things.
"I have spoken to him about doing more leg weights, more supple exercises and stretching with the lady who comes in to take them for yoga and pilates.
"He's a good lad and he'll take that on and train properly."
