Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson admits he needs to add to his squad this month.

He said: "Last year we had a big squad but we didn't have the quality.

"We've let 19 players go and only one, Nicolas Anelka, is playing Premier League football regularly.

"We need to move it forward now. The squad is way too small. We're putting kids on the bench who haven't even played enough reserve football.

"We'll probably not have enough on the bench at Sunderland - we can't keep chucking kids in willy-nilly."
