Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson was delighted for Gavin McCann after his winner against Red Star Belgrade last night.

Megson said: "Gavin struck a great goal in training last night from 30 yards. While this one was a bit nearer it was a great strike.

"Even though Red Star have no points they are still a decent side.

"But the main problem we had to contend with was the pitch. It dictated the style of the game and didn't help anyone."
