Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is confident of securing striker Kevin Davies to a new contract.

Megson said: "Kevin is very happy here and he has done brilliantly for the club.

"The contract will be done from his point of view so that we can settle him and make sure that he has got his future sorted for him and his family.

"That's what we are looking to do and hopefully it will get done pretty soon."

Defender Andy O'Brien is also expected to sign a new one-year extension to his current deal this week.
