Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson was pleased with the performance of skipper Kevin Davies in their defeat to Hull City.

"He is a terrific lad," said Megson of his captain. "He led the line well.

"He looked right back to his best but didn't score any of the opportunities he had.

"But I would think near enough everybody had an opportunity to score and everything Hull threw at us, until they scored, we dealt fine with as well."
