Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson concedes they do not have the spending power to land Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso.

"We were trying to get Veloso done in January, but we're not capable of doing the kind of deal they are talking about," the Trotters boss told the Bolton News.

"We're just not in that league."
