Just a day after sacking Nigel Pearson, Leicester City have earmarked Bolton boss Neil Lennon to replace him.
With only five weeks until the start of the Premier League season, Leicester are keen to quickly install a new manager following Pearson's dismissal, and former Celtic boss Lennon is the bookies favourite.
Lennon spent four years at Leicester as a midfielder and was influential in the side that won two League Cup trophies (in 1997 and 2000).
Having former West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce already rule himself out, the Foxes are said to favour Lennon or Burnley boss Sean Dyche to replace Pearson in the King Power Stadium dugout, with Lennon the overwhelming favourite.
The news follows the sacking of Nigel Pearson, whose relationship with team owners the Srivaddhanaprabha family has deteriorated to the point of no return.
The Thai family were infuriated after footage of three Leicester players involved in a highly distasteful sexual act was released.
The footage, which included racial slurs, included Pearson's own son James, along with two other members of the team, Tom Hopper and Adam Smith.
Director of football John Riudkin will look to install the new manager quickly as several of the Leicester first team have already returned for pre-season training.
