Bolton Wanderers boss Sammy Lee remains under pressure to keep his job.
Despite a recent run of four games unbeaten, Bolton remain in the Premier League bottom three and have games against Chelsea and Arsenal to come.
It is possible Lee will not see out the next couple of weeks if things do not improve.
Certain players have expressed their unhappiness privately at Lee's methods and members of the backroom staff are said not to be seeing eye to eye with him.
But last night Lee said: "These are trying, testing, tense times but the lads are working terrifically hard.
"People keep on saying a lot of things about this football club but we are working point by point, inch by inch, to get ourselves out of this."
