Bolton Wanderers boss Sammy Lee admits they're lining up a replacement signing for want-away striker Nicolas Anelka.

Anelka, 28, an £8million buy from Fenerbahce a year ago, has scored two of Bolton's three goals this term in three defeats.

He is desperate to play Champions League football and boss Lee admitted: "You don't want to lose quality players but other things dictate.

"We are just making sure we have the right preparation to cover for every eventuality."
