Bolton boss Lee happy to see players rucking

Bolton Wanderers boss Sammy Lee was happy to see two of his players rucking at the end of yesterday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham.

A bizarre end to the game saw Trotters defender Abdoulaye Meite pushing his own goalkeeper, Jussi Jaaskelainen, in the chest after a heated verbal exchange.

But boss Lee refused to condemn the pair.

He said: "I saw it as a sign of how committed my players are - it was an illustration of their commitment.

"That was two teams in a difficult position. At times there was a lack of confidence but there was no lack of commitment.

"It's understandable the position we are in but it was an improvement from our last game at Birmingham and that's what I am looking for."
