Bolton Wanderers boss Sammy Lee is confident of keeping striker El Hadji Diouf beyond Friday's transfer deadline.

Senegal striker Diouf, angered at being omitted on the opening day, marked the victory against Reading by throwing his shirt into the crowd at the final whistle.

"Don't read something into that, " said manager Lee after his first win in charge of the club.

"The kit man will tell you he does one shirt a game."
