Bolton Wanderers boss Sammy Lee is confident of hanging onto prized striker Nicolas Anelka.

Anelka, 28, has been linked with a £12million move to West Ham, while Manchester United and Villarreal are also believed to be monitoring the striker.

But Lee said: "Nicolas has committed to Bolton and I don't want him to go.

"What I've said, and I repeat again, is that it would be wrong of me to stand in his way if a Champions League club came in for him.

"But he is committed and it would be excellent if he gets Champions League football with Bolton."
