Bolton Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman accepts there's little chance of bringing back West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson on-loan.
Dawson is keen to fight for his place at The Hawthorns in a bid to impress Albion's new head coach, whoever it may be.
"I've made no contact with them (Albion) since the beginning of the season, or just after," said Freedman.
"They said to me he is not coming out on loan and he's going to be in the squad every week, and he has been.
"I have spoken to his agent and he tells me Craig is very determined to make it in the West Brom side. It feels like it's far away. If it does change then who wouldn't be interested in him?"
