Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has urged Johan Elmander to take inspiration from Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Russia international Pavlyuchenko cannot stop scoring since breaking back into the Spurs first team.

Coyle said: "Johan continues to work ever so hard, and having been a striker myself I know all you can do is keep putting yourself in those positions.

"When one goes in for you, then you're up and running. Roman Pavlyuchenko is a top player but Johan came to this club with that reputation as well."
