Bolton boss Coyle targets Burnley pair Eagles, Carlisle

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is chasing Burnley pair Chris Eagles and Clarke Carlisle.

Burnley will have one of the highest wage bills in the Championship next season and Eagles, one of the club's top earners, is expected to be allowed to leave, says the Daily Mail.

The former Manchester United winger is desperate to remain in the Premier League and would prefer to stay in the north West.

And Bolton manager Coyle, who knows all about the 24-year-old from his time at Turf Moor, will land the midfielder when the transfer window reopens.

Burnley, who were relegated from the Premier League following Sunday's 4-0 defeat to Liverpool, need to sell their stars to balance the books and Coyle is keen on taking full advantage.

Carlisle is also set to join Eagles at Bolton in the summer, with the Burnley defender out of contract.
