Bolton boss Coyle says Bogdan has recovered from Everton howler

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle says Adam Bogdan hasn't dwelled on the freak goal conceded against Everton.

Bogdan allowed his opposite number Tim Howard to score past him earlier this season.

Coyle told Absolute Radio: "Adam Bogdan is an outstanding goalkeeper. I said that from day one since coming to the football club. He'd be the first to thank Jussi for how he's helped to bring him on, and there's real competition for that goalkeeping place, which is great. Jussi's back now, fit and available as you know, and they're really pushing each other for that spot, which I love. I think that's probably helped us in many ways, because we've started to get one or two back from injury, and all of a sudden there was real competition.

"I think sometimes, when you do have a number of injury, players subconsciously, without probably realising it, think, 'I'm going to be in the team anyway.' All of a sudden, when they know they've got a good player waiting to play there, they have to step up their game, I think that's helped us. As I say, Adam is destined for a great career, but as I say there's real competition there for that goalkeeping spot."
