Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle says he's playing the sale of Gary Cahill by ear.

Coyle confirmed last week that talks had begun with Chelsea over the possible transfer of defender Cahill, which would provide funds for much-needed reinforcements.

"If Gary's situation means that comes to fruition and we can juggle one or two balls, then so be it, but that's for January," said Coyle.
