Bolton boss Coyle happy winning praise from Barcelona defender Pique

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle knows he's changing opinions of the club.

The wonderful team goal that Mark Davies finished off against Blackpool last November prompted Barcelona's World Cup-winning defender Gerard Pique - formerly of Manchester United - to ask "what's happened at Bolton?"

"It's a transition," Coyle told the Daily Mail. "There was a perception of how Bolton played and we wanted to make sure we weren't one dimensional, replicating what was happening on the training pitch.

"We can still go early to a centre forward who is one of the best in the business (Davies). But what we showed when we brought in Jack Wilshere was that we weren't afraid of giving young talented players a platform.

"Young players like Jack have no fear. They have great desire to play but there's no shame in not being in Arsenal's first team or for Daniel Sturridge being behind (Didier) Drogba, (Nicolas) Anelka or (Fernando) Torres. Clubs trust me to give their players the right education and in return they get a player who can handle the Premier League."
