Bolton boss Coyle hails his matchwinner Holden

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle heaped praise on Stuart Holden after victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Coyle saluted match-winner Holden who crowned a man-of-the-match display by volleying home late on.

The former Houston Dynamo man was snapped up from under the nose of Blackburn in January on a free transfer and has been a revelation.

Coyle said: "I got him for nothing in January and he broke his leg which meant he missed the end of the season.

"Had he played those months I'm sure he would have started more for the USA in the summer and be further on than he is now.

"We've really missed him in his last two games but he showed great tenacity and quality here."
