Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has explained why he wears shorts on the touchline - because he still wishes he could play!
Coyle admits he can't understand why some players aren't as passionate about the game as he.
"I love the game. I join in here to make numbers up and if there are masters games and charity games then I will play.
"That's why I still wear my shorts on the touchline. Deep down I still want to be a player. I am not embarrassed about that.
"One of my former managers - Ian McCall - said to me once, 'Coyley, if you want to go into management you have to understand that not everybody is as enthusiastic as you'. I can't get my head round that.
"I'm not sure everybody in football is the same as me. I find that very difficult to understand.""I do wish I was still a player," he told the Daily Mail. "Best days of your life. If I hadn't been a professional I would be paying a fiver to go and play five-a-side with you tonight.
